Have Some Fun I'm lucky, working out is my occupation and my hobby, but I'm well aware of the fact that not everyone enjoys working out. Here's the dilemma though-if you don't work out, you'll live an unhealthy life and probably die early. The solution is simple. Find activities you enjoy and make them the nucleus of your exercise program. If you enjoy an activity, you're much more likely to stick with it. Please don't tell me there is nothing you enjoy. There's weight training, cardio machines, walking, hiking, biking, roller blading, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, running, trail running, volleyball, basketball, tennis, frisbee, and soccer, just to name a few! Shoot, even fishing and golf are better than nothing. Learning to live an active lifestyle takes time. There's no need to beat yourself up over a missed workout unless your an Olympian, which not many of us are. Go out and do something fun today. Get those dusty tennis racquets off the top shelf in the garage and head for the park! |
