As a business owner, I wear many hats. I'm an entrepreneur, a manager, a personal trainer, a marketer, a plant manager — you get the idea. Then there's my personal life — I'm a husband, a dad, a grandpa, a homeowner, a gardener, a pool cleaner, etc, etc, etc! Life can get so busy, and so complicated that we become overwhelmed and depressed.
This last week I couldn't take the messes any longer! I declared war on the mess I call my office, then went to work on my home office, trying to restore some degree of order. Friday I attacked the gym equipment store room that was driving me crazy. Somewhere in that whole process of cleaning, purging, and organizing it hit me: I HAVE to keep life as simple as possible.
Our lives in 2017 have become so complicated, so cluttered, and so invaded with noise that even if we keep life as simple as we possibly can, it's still going to be complex. I'm guessing that many of you can relate with what I'm saying. Take the time to simplify your life. What are the truly important things and people in your life? Is your health and fitness important? Mine is. Do NOT neglect your health and fitness.
Get the clutter out of your mind, life, and house. Do some personal housekeeping; for example, find one thing that is wasting your time and nix it. Go to the gym and do a simple workout; forget all your problems for 45 minutes. Focus, breath, sweat — man it feels good. Workouts don't have to be complicated, they just have to be.
